UPSC CSE 2023 top rank holders list announced: Aditya Srivastava secures first rank

On Wednesday, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final results of the highly anticipated Civil Services Examination (CSE)of the year 2023. Candidates, who participated in the personality test, can check their results on the commission’s official website upsc.gov.in

The 2023 UPSC recruitment drive aimed at filing 1,105 positions across various government departments, saw a rigorous selection process. Candidates who cleared the preliminary exam held on May 28, 2023, proceeded to take the mains exam in September 2023. Only those who successfully cleared their mains were called for the personality tests, conducted between January 2 and April 9, 2024, for a total of 1026 candidates.

The UPSC CSE final results will determine who gets to join the coveted ranks of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and other central services. In recent years, the CSE has witnessed a positive trend in the number of female candidates qualifying and securing top ranks where in 2022, the results saw women dominate the top positions, with Ishita Kishore bagging the All India Rank (AIR)1 even in 2021 UPSC, Shruti Sharma secured AIR1 CSE exam.

How to Check the Final Results?

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC website

Step 2: Click on the ‘Results’ tab.

Step 3: Look for the link mentioning ‘Civil Services Examination (Final Result) 2023’ or similar wording.

Step 4: The result will likely be a downloadable PDF document.

Step 5: Enter your roll number or registration details (as instructed) to find your result within the PDF.

PM Modi applauds the selected candidates and motivates others on X

PM Modi sympathizes those who couldn’t make to the final list. He motivates them by saying that setbacks are indeed tough but it is important to remember this is not the end of the journey. He adds, “There are chances ahead to succeed in Exams, but beyond that, India is rich with opportunities where your talents can truly shine. Keep striving and exploring the vast possibilities ahead. Wishing you all the very best”.
