Bihar has its own important from the point of history. The state has buddha temple and Jain temple. The great king of Bhart was also from Bihar. But it is now sad to see that the half of population is drowning in the ocean of poverty. The 1/3 of state is still under poverty and it was even more before 2012. Bihar is highlighted from the 2024 Lok Sabha election was on headlines. Bihar chief minister Mr. Nitish Kumar is focused on the different activities which can help to pull the voters of all caste and background can support him and JD(U).

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday declared in his speech to spread a statewide movement. The movement is for special category status to the state. The Bhim Sansad rally, organized by the JD(U) was conducted on Sunday, 26 November 2023 as the celebration of constitution and day. The agenda Mr. Nitish Kumar mentioned was to demand ‘special category status for Bihar’. But it is also being said that the motive of the rally was to mobilize the Dalit and economically backward voter for 2024 Lok Sabha election. Bihar had already conducted the survey independently after the Centre’s rejection and had utilized the results to enhance reservations for OBC, EBC, SC, and ST communities in the state.

CM Nitish’s speech

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressi the crowd and said about the disappointment Bihar citizens are facing because of the in equality between the state. Bihar is not getting enough attention from the central government which was supposed to be given. He further said that he will take the pledge ahead and will demand for Special category status for Bihar. It will be a huge movement for the state. he Used the special category status will sure helpdesk in development of the state and all the sectors. He said the state with challenges like poverty, scarcity and other economic issues will make good progress. “Bihar will progress within two years if the central government grants a special category to the state, “Mr. Kumar said.

The Progress of state

CM Nitish Kumar became CM of Bihar in 2005 and since then he is being Chief Minister of Bihar. In his speech he mentioned that how the Bihar changed. Everyone is free and feel safe. And cities and villages are having good progress. Bihar is developing overall. The work of CM Nitish Kumar. And JD(U) is seen by the development of the state. The Chief Minister also emphasized that he had been advocating for this demand since 2010 and had organized rallies on 24 November 2012 at Gandhi Maidan in Patna and on 17 March 2013 at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.

He said how without any advertisement or announcement people gathered in tremendous amount. People joined from every corner of the state in large numbers to participate in the rally. Women also were participating in the rally and came out of the homes. He said it’s all the work government of Bihar did and made this happen. government has been working for the development of every caste and community in the state.

Andar Pradesh was done something like this. Jagan Reddy CM of Andar Pradesh covered 3,800km in 340 days, as a movement to get SCS.
11 states special assistance Assam, Nagaland, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Uttarakhand, and Telangana. Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh were not considered as they were not fulfilling the condition of being at board or Unfavorable history and geography even though they were in worst condition than Himachal.

The very first year under the 14th Finance Commission had increased by 24.7% compared to the past few years, which ensure that the status was here to stay.

The state is populated but poverty is Growing rapidly, and people are trying searching jobs in other states. the growth of state is not good, and opportunities are also limited. planning of industries is also on hold. overall, there are very few job opportunities, and some special categories status might require. but even after that the perfect planning is needed and people need to understand that.
