Directors Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta and their team are all set to make India’s biggest war film

T-Series and JP Dutta Films are going all out to assemble the best possible technical team for Border 2. Even without an official announcement, Border 2 is already one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema.
The film is expected to rock the box office when it hits theaters on January 23, 2026. Interestingly, the year 2026 also marks the 29th anniversary of Border, which was released in theatres on June 13, 1997.

Exclusive details about Border 2’s release

Notably, the makers have yet not revealed details about the rest of the cast, Pinkvilla informed last year in October about Ayushmann Khurrana being in the advanced stages of the film. Sunny will reprise his part as Major Kuldip Singh Chanduri.

Bringing exclusive deets on its release, it was last month we revealed that producers Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta are targeting a Republic Day 2026 release for Border 2.

“Border 2 is targeting to hit the big screen on Friday, January 23, 2026 – leading to the Republic Day holiday on Monday, January 26, 2026.
