In a seismic shift within the Insta verse, Meta’s Instagram is undergoing a dynamic series of updates, causing waves of anticipation among users.
Presently undergoing testing, a covert feature is on the brink of enhancing the user experience for those with verified accounts. This enigmatic addition involves the introduction of an exclusive feed, carefully crafted to exhibit content exclusively from verified accounts.
Yet, the momentum of innovation doesn’t halt there!
Instagram is gearing up to reveal two additional revolutionary features for the Insta-verse!
Yup, Adam Mosseri, the Chief Executive Officer of Instagram under Meta’s ownership, formally announced the consecutive testing of two noteworthy features during a broadcast on his IG Updates channel this week.
The initial feature undergoing testing involves sharing selfie videos within Notes. Adam further disclosed that shortly, Instagram users will have the option to replace their default profile photo in Notes with a brief, looping video. Notably, he emphasised that users will retain the ability to include accompanying textual messages to convey their thoughts alongside the video content.
According to the demonstration video shared by Adam Mosseri in the broadcast channel, users will observe a new camera icon appearing on the profile picture when initiating the creation of a note. This icon serves as the gateway for recording a video that can be subsequently posted within the Notes feature.
The second feature introduces a unique way to engage followers in feed posts. Before posting a carousel, users can activate a feature that allows followers to submit photos and videos, which can be seamlessly integrated into the post. Adam Mosseri expressed excitement about the creative possibilities that this feature unlocks. These innovative additions showcase Instagram’s commitment to enhancing user experience and fostering creative expression on the platform.
In a screenshot of the feature disclosed by Mosseri, users will find an “add to post” button conveniently located in the bottom left corner.
Hold on tight to your filters, Instagrammers! Instagram’s seismic updates are about to redefine the game. It’s no longer just a scroll-and-like experience; it is a creative social networking that looks vibrant, dynamic, and oh-so-filterlicious!
